Rapid Response to Alaska

Bob Schwartz, Chuck Egbert, and Scott Lazaros traveled on Rapid Response to Soldotna, Alaska, in May to assist Missionary Aviation Repair Center (MARC) with repairs on one of their three Piper Navajo aircraft. MARC uses their airplanes to transport missionaries, work teams, lay leaders, and church workers throughout the Alaskan bush.

Bob, Chuck, and Scott spent three weeks with MARC and stayed focused on the task as there was plenty of work to go around.

During their visit, they replaced all four fuel bladders, replaced the fuel lines and the control cables to both engines, and replaced the wing de-ice hoses. They also installed and rigged the wing flaps, assisted with the rigging of the landing gear, repaired the cowl flap system, and overhauled components for the aircraft’s hydraulic system.

Our goal in responding to MARC’s need was to move this critically needed aircraft closer to completion. We believe this goal was met.

Thank you for helping us to help MARC in reaching the lost through your faithful prayers and gifts.

Our team enjoyed some of the Alaskan scenery.
